WHAT IS DETAILING ?
Detailing is a more extensive service to that of valeting. It is a thorough cleansing,polishing & waxing of your car.Greater attention is given to the paintwork to produce a quaility finish.
There are several stages which your car will under go,to create a stunning finish that has a deep wet look gloss apperance.
Paint is also checked useing paint thickness gauges.
The 1st stage is washing,the car is thorougly washed & degreased using only the best products to remove surface dirt & grime.Lambs wool wash mits are used as this avoids the possibility of adding swirl marks.Alloy wheels are cleaned as are door shuts boot & bonnet gutters.The car is then dried using micro fibre drying cloths.
The 2nd stage is surface de-contamination using a clay bar.You can tell if your car really needs claying by rubbing your finger tips over the paint surface of the car after it has been thorougly washed.If you can feel bumps & rough spots then these are contaminants that have bonded to the surface.Once removed your paint will be left silky smooth.

the 3rd stage oxidation & swirl mark removal.
Most people belive that polishing & waxing are the same,in fact they are two differant processes,the secret to a stunning finish is to properly clense & polish the paint work prior to waxing.all paints age from exposure to light,pollution,acid rain ect.The finish of your paint gradually becomes tired & dull.To restore your paint to its true vibrancy & deep shine.The paint will require polishing this is done using a machine polisher which will also remove imperfections,oxidation,swirl marks & light scratches.

The 4th stage paint cleansing & nourishment,this prepares the paint for waxing & ensures the wax bonds to the paint work correctly.
The 5th stage is waxing,high quality carnuba wax is applied in layers which leaves a deep wet look shine

Paint protection detail
Time req appox 5-8 hrs
1.Citrus pre wash & rinse
2.Vehicle is then foamed to draw out any dirt & rinsed
3.Vehicle is then wased using the 2 bucket method
4.Arches & door shuts are cleaned
5.Paint work is then clay barred to remove any bonded contaminants
6.Vehicle is then re washed & rinsed to remove any residue
7.Paint work is then dried using plush micro fibre drying cloths
8.Wheels are cleaned using PH neutral gel & horse hair brushes
9.Pre wax paint work cleanser/glaze is then applied to paint work via an orbital polisher to enhance gloss & aid wax bonding
10.Paint work is then treated with sealant & a layer of top quality Carnuba wax
11.Alloy wheels are polished & sealed using acrylic wax
12.Windows are cleaned
13.Chrome trim is polished & sealed
14.Tyres,arches & exterior trim dressed
Paint correction detail
Time req approx 10-15 hrs

3.Vehicle is then washed using the 2 bucket method
4.Arches & door shuts are cleaned
5.Paint work is then clay barred to remove any bonded contaminants
6.Vehicle is then re washed & rinsed to remove any residue
7.Paint work is then dried using plush micro fibre drying cloths
8.paint is now checked useing a paint thickness gauge & special lighting.
9.Paint work is then corrected using rotary & dual action polishers,with fine polishes to remove defects to produce the finest finish possible
10.Paint work is wiped down using a mild alcahol solution
11.Prewax paint cleanser/glaze is applied to aid wax bonding
12.Sealant is then applied to paint work
13.2 layers of top quality Carnuba wax is applied to the paint work
14.Alloy wheels are polished & sealed using acrylic wax
15.Windows are polished
16.Tyres,arches & exterior trims are dressed
17.Chrome & metal trims are polished & sealed
18.Final check & wipe down with detailing spray & micro fibre cloth
In extreme cases wet flating may be necessary to correct paint defects.In these cases it will be discussed with the customer before work is commenced
